Alrighty then, this explains everything. George Rekers, esteemed co-founder of the Family research Council and fearless defender of Family Values™, was not only trying to bring his baggage handler to Jesus, he was actually set up by the evil, horrible Librul Media. You see, not only did he have no idea what RentBoy.com was, he was the victim of enemies of NARTH, people who would have you believe that sexual orientation is not an illness or a disorder:

At the moment, the possibility that Rekers is the victim of a set-up owing to his connections with NARTH cannot be completely ruled out. Earlier this year Dr. Julie Hamilton, president of NARTH, revealed that protestors at NARTH’s 2009 Convention had announced they would go after individual members associated with the organization, which believes that homosexuality is a treatable psychological disorder.

Join me below for more on the eye-rolling response from FRC and NARTH about what really happened to poor, misunderstood Dr. Rekers at the hands of people who hate good, heterosexual Christianists.

You see, Dr. Rekers is only human, and humans are fallible and prone to falling into sin. But they can be saved if they are willing to repent. That's all that happened to the good Doctor, whose life's work has been virtuously dedicated to curing people of teh Gay. Nothing to see here!

Family Research Council (FRC) has responded to the allegations in a statement, attributed to FRC President Tony Perksin (sic), and provided to LifeSiteNews.com. "While we are extremely disappointed when any Christian leader engages in the very activities that they ‘preach’ against, it is not surprising," said Perkins.

"The Scriptures clearly teach the fallen nature of all people. We each have a choice to act upon that nature or accept the forgiveness offered by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and do our best to ensure our actions, both public and private, match our professed positions."

And besides, Perkins and the Family Research Council didn't really hang out with Dr. Rekers much; they like barely knew him!

Perkins clarified that although Rekers co-founded FRC before its merger with Focus on the Family in 1987, they have "had no contact with Dr. Rekers or knowledge of his activities in over a decade."

But the whole controversy is really just a trap ensnaring Rekers, who ultimately is a victim of vicious, pro-Gay forces trying to oppress his God-given right to denigrate gay people. One more from the article:

How Rekers was serendipitously found and photographed by the New Miami Times, the decidedly liberal paper which broke the story, pushing a "tottering" baggage cart accompanied by "Lucien" in the busy concourses of MIA is unknown.

Sneaky damn Libruls. Ya just cain't trust 'em to be discreet with yer bags and junk.

Read the whole article; the hypocrisy and desperation are truly breathtaking to behold. FRC and NARTH Respond to Reports of Pro-Family Leader Accused of Affair with Male Escort.

Good gravy, ya can't make this stuff up.
